Meet the doctor
Julia Mandes is a licensed acupuncturist and herbalist in the State of Maryland holding the degree of Doctor of Oriental Medicine from the Maryland University of Integrative Health (MUIH), where she also serves as faculty and a lead clinical supervisor in the student clinic. She is a specialist in reproductive medicine as well as maintaining a general practice for teenagers, adults, and elders with a focus on internal medicine, especially chronic and complicated conditions. While a serious and resolute practitioner, Dr. Mandes is also gentle and warm and a good fit for nervous patients.
Services Offered
Services include Traditional Chinese Medicine diagnosis and treatment, including acupuncture, herbal medicine, moxibustion, dietary recommendations, and lifestyle possibilities. Dr. Mandes considers the whole of the person: body, mind, and spirit, and believes there are no untreatable conditions, or people, and that it is within everyone's capacity to heal. She will tailor a treatment plan according to your individual needs and within your means. As an out-of-network provider, documentation is provided for all patients to submit for insurance reimbursement.
